Drainage and resurfacing improvement works on the TT Mountain Course in Ramsey will lead to traffic diversions being in place from Sunday 17 March.
The scheme will be carried out in two phases to minimise disruption.
The first phase will see Manx Utilities undertake drainage work as part of the Mayfield Residential Home project for a period of two weeks. The closure of both carriageways is necessary due to the depth of the excavation required to demolish and reconstruct a 3.5-metre manhole.
During this time, the A18 will be closed between Coronation Park and Parsonage Road. A two-way diversion will be in place along Albert Road and Parsonage Road. Parking will be suspended on Parsonage Road.
The second phase will involve resurfacing the A18 on Queen’s Pier Road and May Hill in preparation for the TT Races, which begin on Saturday 25 May. The A18 will be closed between Prince’s Road and Lheaney Road.
A two-way diversion will be in place for three weeks along Albert Road, Waterloo Road, Queen’s Drive West and Lheaney Road. Parking will be suspended on Lheaney Road.
The road is scheduled to reopen by Good Friday 19 April.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
