Expressions of Interest Sought for Ramsey Courthouse

Ramsey Town Commissioners are in the process of purchasing Ramsey Courthouse and the sale is expected to be finalised within the next month. The Commission are keen that the Courthouse should remain a key part of the Town Centre and provide some benefit to the community as well as being financially sustainable.


The Commission invites expressions of interest from companies or organisations for the future use of the building or part(s) of the building. Submissions should detail the proposed future use of the building, parts of the building affected. outline business plan, intended community benefit, indication of likely operating hours and rental offer. All submissions will be treated in confidence if requested.

Following consideration of any expression of interest the Commission will, at its discretion, enter into dialogue in respect of any proposals which it feels would be of general benefit to the community of Ramsey and the North of the Island and which it feels would be appropriate for this location. Any agreement would be subject to further negotiation, contract and appropriate statutory approvals, the Commission reserves the right to seek formal tenders for the lease of the building.
