Horse Riding on Ramsey Foreshores

The Commission has issued a reminder of the provisions of the Ramsey Town Amenity Byelaws 1998 which state that :-

No person shall take any horse, pony or donkey on that part of the foreshore vested in the local authority lying to the south of Ramsey Harbour without permission in writing from the local authority.

And that

Any person contravening any of the byelaws shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £2,500.

There is no restriction in place in respect of the north beach however as the area is open to the general public horse riders using this area are recommended to have in place appropriate public liability insurance.
