Ramsey has been described as ‘a cute little town' in a national newspaper article.
Daily Mirror journalist Joanna Churchill travelled to the Island with her mother, visiting Ramsey where they spent time in the Mooragh Park with its ‘fantastic 12-acre boating lake', went shopping and toured the Grove Museum - ‘an amazing reflection of real Victorian life'.
Other stops included Andreas, Douglas, Peel, Castletown, Cregneash and Laxey, prompting the final verdict: ‘lovely people, lovely places'.
Ramsey Town Commissioners' chairman Captain Nigel Malpass: ‘Those of us fortunate to live in Ramsey are well aware of its attractions and special qualities, but it is always encouraging when visitors have the opportunity to discover the town's unique appeal. This positive Daily Mirror article will serve as a welcome boost, not only for Ramsey but for the Isle of Man and we would be pleased to extend the town's customary warm welcome to Joanna and her mother on their next visit.'
